Three Months Later

Okay, I'm ashamed. I can't believe it's been three months since I've posted - so much for becoming a blogger. So much has happened in the past 3 months...or actually I should say 6 months - I feel like I'm really behind on things! Instead of trying to catch up right now, I'm just going to start with current things and post some of the girl's spring activities and craziness.

Orlando Trip Continued...

First of all - I have to say Happy Birthday to Brian today - March 4...

Okay, I think we left off on Tuesday of our trip. That is the day we made our first trip to the Magic Kingdom. (Brian was still in meetings)

Before we left...here they are at our resort, Pop Century.

Here is the "floating ball"...

A month?

Okay, it's hard to believe that it's been a month since I posted on here! I finally got my Dad and Sharon's photos from Disney so I will have to finish my Disney series...including Lizzie's 3rd birthday.

But for now...I'll post about Emily. In February she turned 7, and also lost one of her front teeth! (the one that is crooked in the Disney photos.) :)

Minutes after the pulling...

And here are some pictures from her birthday party:

Everyone watching

He's Got the Whole World In His Hands

Taking a break from the Disney talk to share a conversation I had with Erica today...

Erica: Mom, did you know that God holds the whole world in his hands?
Me: Yes honey, he does.
Erica: Yeah, because we learned a song about it. (she sings the song)

Five minutes later, after I've forgotten the previous conversation,
Erica: Mom, when is God going to drop us on the ground?
Me: He won't ever drop us honey.
Erin, piping in: He doesn't drop up - he lifts us up to heaven...our souls...when we die..etc...
Erica: When he drops us, we're going to shake.
Mom: What do you mean honey, he won't drop us on the ground.
Erica: LIKE HE'S NEVER GOING TO GO TO SLEEP? AND WHEN HE DOES, THE WORLD WILL FALL OUT OF HIS HAND ONTO THE GROUND!!!
Mom: (finally realizing what she's talking about) God never sleeps.
Erica: Oh.

Day #2...

On Monday we left Brian at his hotel (work meetings) and moved to Disney's Pop Century Resort. We waited there for Grandpa and Grandma to get off the bus, then we ate, bought autograph books and 4 $6 pens (yes, $24 for 4 pens!) and headed toward Disney Hollywood Studios. (Formerly MGM) Thank goodness it was warmer today, around 70 degrees for a high.

There the girls enjoyed a High School Musical 2 show, the Beauty & the Beast Show, the Muppets 3D show, and the Great Movie Ride.

Universal Studios...

Okay, we've been home for 4 days, I'm buried in laundry but I'm getting the itch to post some pictures from our trip. (Pics from Christmas will have to come later...lol)

Most of you know we just took a trip to Florida. Brian had to work a few days, and my Dad and Sharon joined us there.

On Sunday we went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure for the first time. We definitely didn't have enough time to experience both parks fully - but we got a good taste of each one. It was only 45 degrees that day. We needed hats and gloves, but of course didn't bring them to FLORIDA with us - who would have thought? At least it wasn't the -18F that they had back home. :)

We did a Terminator 3D show first. (even Lizzie! It was cool, but extremely scary - but we all made it through, with only a little whining from Erica) We saw a fun animal tricks show, saw some characters, did a Shrek 4D show, ate at NBA City, then we all went on Spiderman, then I found some rollercoasters (Hulk and Dueling Dragons - WOW) while Dad and the girls hit Suesstown. Then me and the girls found an less-strenuous roller coaster to finish out the day.

Okay...enough for today...here are some pics from Day #1...you can see cold, red noses. :)

Lizzie's Makeover

Elizabeth had a big day today. It started off with a haircut - getting 2-3 inches cut off and adding some layers.

And since she is now officially potty-trained, she was given the reward of getting her ears pierced. Only within the past couple days has she expressed interest in getting them...as she had been told, "It hurts". But she was ready and she did really well - only shed a few tears, and she's very proud.
